Our Austrian adventure at Red Bull Ring has come to an end. The weather Gods played with us today with a rainy weather in the early stages of the day and summer sun in the later part of the day.
Overall you had a chance to enjoy fabulous racing in all classes. Riders that went on the track in wet tires had to play game of cat and mouse. Later when the sun dried the track, the big boys from STK1000 and SBK class could make bikes sing like they are suppose too.
Let’s start with the smallest class SSP300
The rain was mixing cards in this class. Samuel Lochoff was in game of his own. He controlled the race and took another win. Highlight of the race was the fight for the second place between Sandra Pelikanova and Taric Van Der Merwe. Girl power Sandra crossed the finish line in front of Van Der Merwe. Sandra was the fans favorite for this race, so it was nice to see podium.
Game, set, match for Gergo Molnar. Stunning win and another double race win for him. No one had an answer to his pace so he rode a lonely race in front. In STK600 class Alen Gyorfi took the win in front of Max Enderlein and Lukas Walchhutter.
Ladies and gentleman it’s a miracle ! Michal Filla didn’t win !! His winning streak was stopped by Adrian Pasek. It was an epic duel, best of the whole weekend. Filla attacked big time but Pasek had a joker in his sleeve. The final podium place went to Arnaud Friendrich.
Thomas Gradinger showed his talent today with a great performance in the final race of the day. He took the lead but was hunted by Karel Hanika who was hungry for another win. After Hanika took the lead he went and never looked back. Gradinger fought for the second place with Philipp Steinmayr, but Philipp put the hammer down and went second over the finish line.
What can we say, we hope you all enjoyed this race weekend. We want to congratulate all the winners, podium finishers and all the people who were a part of this epic weekend.
See you soon!
